Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care field preferred.
  • RN license preferred; Nurse Aide Train the Trainer certification.
  • Teaching experience in nurse aide/PCT programs preferred.
  • Experience with LMS (Blackboard Ultra) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct, manage, and supervise individuals and groups in classrooms, labs, and clinicals.
  • Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction in occupational courses.
  • Advise and register health sciences students.
  • Develop and coordinate curriculum; conduct assessments of courses.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and prepare reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum areas and department activities.

The faculty will provide theory and practical instruction to a level sufficient for students to develop the skills necessary to progress into a post-secondary Health Science program or become employed in their chosen Health Science profession. The employee frequently lifts/carries objects that weigh 10 lbs. or less. Clinical responsibilities are typically performed in a hospital, long term care facility, or other medical facilities and require that the employee stand/or walk for seven (7) - eight (8) hours: bend, twist, push/and or pull for three (3) - four ( 4) hours; and occasionally lift 50 lbs. to 75 lbs. per rotation. The exposure to infectious diseases, gas, or fumes is possible during clinical rotations.Salary/BenefitsSalary is commensurate with education and work experience .
