Job summary

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for an EHS Specialist to be based out of our Phoenix, AZ facility and will be responsible for managing the Environmental Health and Safety of the facility.

What you’ll do:

• Employee onboarding/orientation.
• Manage subcontractor EHS compliance.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in EHS, compliance or direct field/facility safety.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, strong time management skills and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment with vendors, outside sub-contractors and inhouse installation teams.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and communicate effectively/professionally.
• OSHA-30 required.
• ASP or CSP desired.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete your Atkore immersion program.
• Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
• Understand Atkore's EHS Enablon system.
• Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures for facilities.

Within 6-months, you’ll:

• Partner with HR to investigate and provide corrective measures for on-the-job accidents and injuries.
• Have strong onsite presence/working relationship with construction teams.

Within 12-months, you’ll:

• Create and update Enablon reports, including environmental metrics in operating rhythm.
• Scope and process fully established for employee onboarding, weekly walks and inspections.
• Be able to resolve any issues quickly and safely.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $ 66,400 - 91,300 . Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
