Job summary

Rio Tinto's Resolution Copper project in Arizona seeks a Health, Safety, & Security Manager to lead strategic HSS delivery across the site. You will guide a skilled team, embedding best practices and ensuring compliance with critical risk controls.

You will collaborate with site leaders, contractors, and external partners to translate strategy into action, driving continuous improvement and a culture of care, courage, and curiosity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health and safety or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in roles with health, safety, and security responsibilities in operational or major project environments.
• Strong leadership with coaching mindset and team development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement health, safety, and security policies in compliance with regulations.
• Design and deliver training for managers, employees, and contractors.
• Analyze accident causes and hazards; recommend mitigation measures.
• Mentor the team and manage the project security partnership.
• Support Rio Tinto with strategic safety initiatives and risk reviews.
• Lead audits and inspections; contribute to HSS guidelines and standards.
