Job summary

DBA Web Technologies seeks a Health & Safety Engineer to support daily health and safety functions at a Bloomsburg, PA facility. You will drive compliance, injury reduction, and incident prevention while ensuring regulatory adherence and alignment with internal guidelines.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance and engineering teams to execute strategic plans, analyze incident data, lead IH activities, manage PPE, and develop training and metrics across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: 3 years of professional experience in health and safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with OSHA standards and manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Industrial Hygiene experience.
• Experience implementing and maintaining health and safety programs.
• Experience with Behavior Based Safety programs.
• Experience with Ergonomic assessments.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Experience with Power BI or Advanced Excel Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain systems to drive compliance, fatality prevention, and injury reduction.
• Act as a key health and safety liaison with location manufacturing, maintenance & engineering departments to assist in executing strategic and tactical health and safety plans.
• Analyze injury and incident data and assist line management in implementing focused injury reduction efforts.
• Provide expertise to proactively address injury reduction efforts.
• Participate in injury/incident investigations to identify root causes and provide recommendations for prevention.
• Lead the location's industrial hygiene program, including IH sampling plans, IH databases, employee exposure records, and hazardous material management.
• Manage PPE requirements and assist with health and safety audits.
• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
• Develop, review, and facilitate health and safety training.
• Assess, evaluate, and minimize risks collaboratively with employees using technical knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Assist in investigations of health and safety incidents, root cause analysis, and item closure tracking.
• Coordinate the development of systems to ensure accurate and timely metrics per corporate guidelines.
• Implement Human Performance systems and participate in continuing professional education.
