Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a current student pursuing specified safety-related degrees.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of three weeks between December 1, 2026 and January 31, 2027.
• US citizen and able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards is preferred.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be able to successfully pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday Friday
• Must be available for a minimum of THREE (3) weeks between December 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027; this requirement does not include Wednesday, December 23, 2026 through Friday, January 1, 2027.

Masters Degrees degrees to include:

• M.S. Occupational Safety & Health
• Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in:
  • Industrial Hygiene or
  • Occupational Safety and Health or
  • Toxicology
• M.S. Safety Management
• M.S. Environmental Health and Safety

Preferred:

• Familiarity with OSHA safety and health standards or environmental regulations.
• Strong interest in safety and/or industrial hygiene fields, or
• Strong interest in occupational sciences/engineering and how environmental regulations apply in the shipbuilding environment.
• Strong interest in a shipyard trade or construction environment.
• Candidates must support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind GDEB culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
