Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic working knowledge of MIOSHA, OSHA, and DOT safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel to field sites as needed.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and self‑directed work habits.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening, and maintain a satisfactory driving record (MVR).

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, evaluation, and enforcement of HS&E policies to ensure compliance with MIOSHA, OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct field visits, observations, and inspections to identify hazards and drive corrective action.
  • Develop and track mitigation measures to prevent recurring safety issues.
  • Assist in managing safety data, metrics, and reporting to support continuous improvement.
  • Design and deliver safety training programs for new hires and current employees.
  • Maintain inventory and accountability for PPE and safety equipment.
  • Partner with field leadership to promote and strengthen a proactive safety culture.
  • Contribute to company-wide HS&E initiatives and strategic goals.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support operational and safety objectives.

Department: Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E)

FLSA: Exempt or Non-Exempt (based on final role structure)

Reporting Location: Belleville/Detroit, MI

Position Summary

What You’ll Do
