We have experienced rapid growth over the past two years and are looking to grow our team! We are currently seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to lead GFP's safety program. The primary responsibilities for this position include conducting safety inspections, identifying and correcting potential hazards in line with statutory and regulatory requirements, and planning and executing on-going safety training. It is important to GFP that we provide our team with a safe working environment. This individual will not only need to have knowledge of safety practices in an industrial environment but will need to be able to respectfully communicate with all levels of management and employees to encourage a collaborative approach to employee health and safety. Reports to Human Resources Manager No direct reports Potential for upward growth Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities: Minimum 5 years of safety experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment Knowledge of OSHA requirements in a manufacturing facility Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety or similar field Strong communication skills, both verbal & written Attention to detail, critical thinker Ability to work independently or as part of a team OSHA 30-Hour training required; 48-Hour highly preferred Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
