Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Health Information Specialist I in Mobile, AL to process patient health information requests, maintain confidentiality, and work across multiple platforms in a high-volume environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, strong data entry skills, and professional English communication. You’ll handle calls, prepare patient charts, and ensure HIPAA compliance while supporting a cooperative, on-site team at our Mobile office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent data entry and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in medical records.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of company software.
• Respond to requests for patient records from internal and external sources.
• Answer inbound/outbound calls.
• May assist with patient walk-ins and administrative duties.
• Meet productivity expectations at site.
