Job summary

The City of New Orleans Government seeks a Health Equity Program Lead to manage and oversee Community Health Programs for the Minority Health grant. You will support the Health & Equity Strategist in communicating with grant partners, coordinating outreach, and ensuring timely reporting of performance data in line with funding guidelines.

The role may include health equity trainings, stakeholder coordination, and ongoing relationship maintenance with partners to advance program goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health sciences or related field.
  • Four years of professional experience in project or program management in health care or public health.
  • Master's degree in Public Health preferred.

Job description

The Health Equity Program Lead will provide project management and daily operational oversight of the Community Health Programs for Minority Health grant. The Program Lead will assist the Health & Equity Strategist to assure efficient and timely communication with all grant partners and stakeholders. The Program Lead will conduct community outreach as related to the grant and assure timely reporting of performance documents in accordance with funding guidelines. The Program Lead may participate and facilitate health equity trainings, as necessary, while also coordinating and maintaining working relationships with stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, health sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in project or program management in a health care field or public health field.
  • Candidates with a Masters Degree in Public Health preferred.
