Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Product Strategist, Consultant to drive product strategy development and execution across commercial and consumer lines. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Product Strategy, focusing on the Individual & Family Plans market and translating insights into actionable strategies that guide portfolio direction and roadmaps.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in product strategy or health plan product management, with deep ACA knowledge and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience; MBA/MPH preferred
• 7+ years in product strategy, product management, portfolio management, health plan products, or related fields
• Experience supporting product strategy, roadmap development, business case creation, and evaluation of product performance, growth opportunities, retention strategies, and profitability drivers
• Deep understanding of health plan products, market dynamics, and regulatory environments
• Extensive knowledge of ACA guidelines, Individual & Family Plan markets, and health plan product management
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrates ownership and problem-solving in ambiguous situations
• Proven ability to translate complexity into action
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives

Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy development and execution across commercial and consumer lines
