Job summary

We. Communications is seeking an Account Director, Health Media Relations Specialist to join our healthcare practice.

You will translate complex science and regulatory topics into compelling media stories and lead health-focused campaigns that resonate with patients, providers, payers and regulators. You’ll work remotely or in hybrid setups, collaborating with senior leaders to guide media strategy, secure high-impact placements, and coach a team of health media specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of meaningful PR and media relations, agency or healthcare sector preferred.
• Proven media placements across healthcare, pharma, biotech and related outlets.
• Experience building media strategies, trend monitoring, and client-facing materials.
• Experience with pharma/biotech/healthcare accounts and regulatory storytelling.
• Strong writing/editing skills and ability to brief creative teams.
• Advanced project management with timelines, deadlines, and stakeholder alignment.
• Excellent professional presence and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide media relations counsel to health clients alongside SVP Health Media.
• Collaborate with Health Media Specialists to share learnings and identify synergies.
• Contribute to development of integrated communications plans and media angles.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with target media and influencers.
• Execute outreach, pitch content, and deliver client-ready materials.
• Lead client-facing deliverables, including press releases and Q&As.
• Coordinate with account teams and measure/report media results.
• Demonstrate strong writing/editing and manage project timelines.
