Highwire is seeking an Account Executive in Public Relations (Health) to join their Health team in Chicago, IL, with optional remote work. You will translate complex healthcare topics into clear narratives, support client programs, and help craft media pitches and campaigns across healthcare and life sciences sectors.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated programs, track results, and contribute to the growth of client stories in a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of PR or communications experience, in an agency setting
• Background in healthcare, life sciences, or health-tech sectors
• Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail and clarity
• Experience supporting media relations and securing coverage
• Strong organization and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Curiosity about emerging technology trends and storytelling opportunities
• A proactive, team-oriented, and growth-minded attitude

Responsibilities

• Client Service & Program Support: manage day-to-day client account work, track deliverables, participate in calls, and draft recaps.
• Media & Influencer Relations: build relationships, develop media lists, craft pitches, and monitor coverage.
• Writing & Content Development: write/edit press materials, bios, articles, and abstracts.
• Insights, Analytics & Integration: track media results, analyze performance, and collaborate on integrated delivery.
