Job summary

Fresno American Indian Health Project seeks a Health Information Technology Specialist to support data management across patient and population health systems such as NextGen. This full-time, non-exempt role collaborates with program leaders to ensure accurate reporting, data security, and staff training.

You will maintain EHR and practice management software, generate regular operational reports, and assist with regulatory submissions while upholding organizational standards and enhancing

Qualifications

• Two years of electronic health records experience with NextGen.
• Experience working with Native American communities preferred.
• RHIT, Data Management, or SQL Admin certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Program Directors to monitor goals related to patient needs and reporting requirements.
• Develop, implement, and enforce HIT policies, procedures, and standards.
• Assist with financial, operational, and programmatic reporting including no-show and referrals reports.
• Provide staff training on NextGen, Phreesia, and other systems.
• Coordinate patient registration, data collection, scheduling, and related reporting.
• Generate daily to quarterly operational reports as needed.
• Review encounter data and reporting needs with staff and managers.
• Serve as primary contact for EHR and reporting issues.
• Identify system issues and manage tickets with NextGen and vendors.
• Assist with implementation, testing, and upgrading of EHR and related systems.
• Maintain documentation to support data accuracy, compliance, and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
