Job summary

Preferred candidates have RHIT/RHIA certification or relevant coursework in health information management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical terminology knowledge.
• 1 year in HIM/medical records or related field.
• Some college in health information management is preferred.
• RHIT or RHIA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill requests for PHI in compliance with regulations.
• Address provider questions regarding documentation and basic chart corrections.
• Manage scanned medical records to meet quality and productivity standards.
