Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Lead Health Information Specialist in Portland, OR to manage patient record retrieval and abstraction. You will process requests, safeguard privacy, and maintain health information systems while coordinating with clinical and administrative teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-year Health Information related experience.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with policy.
• Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software.
• Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes.
• Responsible for managing patient health records.
• Respond to requests for patient records from internal and external sources.
• Answer inbound/outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins as needed.
• Meet productivity expectations and may schedule pick-ups.
