Job summary

Datavant is seeking an entry level Health Information Specialist I to process ROI requests and manage patient records with a strong emphasis on privacy and accuracy. Onsite, Monday–Friday, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI, you will handle records, respond to requests, and support administrative tasks with quality service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong data entry skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong data entry and typing skills.

• Ability to maintain patient privacy and HIPAA awareness.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process ROI requests in accordance with policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software.
• Adhere to company and facility policies and code of conduct.
• Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.
• Safeguard patient privacy and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Manage patient health records and ensure accuracy.
• Create digital images of paperwork for the EHR.
• Respond to requests for patient records from internal and external sources.
