Updates record deficiency information and maintains microfilm area.Work Experience:One year of experience in Health Information Management or healthcare-related work experience to include Hospital/clinic/physicians' medical billing/insurance office.An associate’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM), Medical Billing and Coding or a related field can be substituted for work experience.License/Registration/Certification:NoneEducation and Training:High School graduate or equivalent.Skills:Basic knowledge of Health Information Systems practices, procedures and guidelines.Must be detail oriented.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Bilingual English/Spanish.Knowledgeable of medical terminology.Knowledgeable of or ability to learn maintenance of Hospital medical records.Knowledgeable of or ability to learn multiple computer systems of Hospital medical records.
