Datavant is hiring for a patient information clerk in Tennessee. You will receive and process requests for patient health data, maintain confidentiality, and ensure HIPAA compliance across paper and electronic records.

The role requires basic computer skills, English communication, and the ability to commute between locations. Expect a 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST schedule, with overtime during peak periods and routine data-entry duties as part of privacy-focused healthcare support.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to commute between locations as needed.
• Comfortable using office equipment and basic software.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.
• Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software.
• Adhere to the Company’s and Customer facilities Code of Conduct and policies.
• Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and/or fluctuating volumes.
• Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.
• Responsible for managing patient health records.
• Responsible for safeguarding patient records and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Prepare new patient charts from paper and electronic sources.
• Ensure records are assembled in standard order and are complete.
• Create digital images of paperwork for EMR storage.
• Respond to requests for patient records from internal and external sources.
• Answer inbound/outbound calls and assist with patient walk-ins as needed.
• May assist with administrative duties such as data entry and mail handling.
