Ridgeview seeks an organized Records Clerk to process health information records and support the medical record system. You will collect, reconcile, prep, scan, index, and analyze records for completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA when assisting callers and providers.

Ideal candidates will have strong keyboarding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with electronic record systems. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Keyboarding/typing proficiency required.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Attention to detail essential for record accuracy.
• Familiarity with basic computer programs (spreadsheets, word processing).

Responsabilités

• Collects records of recently discharged/treated patients from various locations within the organization.
• Reconciles the records received against activity listings to ensure all records are received.
• Preps records for scanning.
• Scans records into the electronic system following procedures.
• Performs document deletions or additions to electronic records as needed.
• Indexes records into the electronic system.
• Analyzes records for deficiencies and creates deficiencies in the electronic systems.
• Assists medical practitioners in using the electronic system to access information and complete deficiencies.
• Assists callers in accessing medical information following HIPAA requirements.
• May follow up on physician delinquencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
