Position: Health Information Operations Supervisor

The Health Information Operations Supervisor is responsible for client/customer service, serving as a knowledge expert for the HIS staff. The role involves frontline people management, training, and ensuring process compliance. It may also include assisting leadership with departmental or regional projects, maintaining workflow and productivity, handling escalated situations, and supporting staff development across multiple sites.

This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week, with travel to locations in Falls Church, VA; Fairfax, VA; Alexandria, VA; and Leesburg, VA.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead, train, and motivate the team.
2. Communicate and collaborate with leadership on operational issues.
3. Manage audit requests from payors and review data to provide solutions.
4. Implement process improvements and provide feedback.
5. Manage requests from the Risk Management Team.
6. Coordinate with location management on complex issues and build strong relationships.
7. Oversee escalation calls and participate in strategic projects.

Qualifications:

• Leadership philosophy focused on service.
• Ability to support clients and team remotely and onsite.
• 1-2 years of health information experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards.
• Strong presentation skills via video or in person.
• Solution-oriented and detail-focused.
• Proficiency in Power BI and MS Office.

• EMR experience with EPIC or Cerner.
• Experience with production or metrics-based work.
• Team building and career development skills.
