Job summary

Signature HealthCARE Hartford Rehab & Wellness Center seeks a Health Information Management professional to oversee medical records from admission to discharge, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will upload paper records into the electronic chart and manage offsite storage as needed.

As Compliance Liaison, you will support annual risk assessment, education reminders, policy distribution, and investigations, while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in Health Information Management or related field required or considered with relevant experience.
• RHIT or RHIA credential preferred.
• Minimum two years of healthcare facility experience; long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of legal, ethical, and regulatory standards for health information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' medical records through admission to discharge with regulatory compliance.
• Upload paper records to electronic charts promptly and securely.
• Coordinate record requests and respond to approved medical record requests.
• Serve as Compliance Liaison for the facility and support QAPI reporting.
