Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an experienced HIM supervisor within the Patient Revenue Management Organization. The role focuses on coordinating workflows, supervising staff, and ensuring accurate patient information for billing and compliance across Duke Health.

You will lead daily operations, develop policies, and collaborate with hospital and clinic teams to resolve issues affecting revenue cycle performance and service quality.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in a progressive healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities for staff and workflow.
• RHIT or RHIA strongly preferred; a bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements for healthcare information management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor HIM workflows and staff performance.
• Develop and implement operating policies and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with hospital and clinic teams to resolve patient information, coding, and billing issues.
