Job summary

Sinai Hospital in Baltimore is seeking a Medical Records Coder to code inpatient records following established conventions. You will group codes to determine DRGs (CMS and/or APR) and may code day surgery, emergency and outpatient records.

Required: 1–3 years of experience, Associate's Degree, and CCS, CPC, RHIA or RHIT credentials. Note: CCS or CCA with 5+ yrs experience is acceptable.

• Associates degree required.
• CCS, CPC, RHIA or RHIT credentials required; CCS/CCA with 5+ years acceptable.

Following established conventions and guidelines, codes the medical records of inpatients. Groups codes to determine diagnosis related groupings (DRGs - CMS and/or APR). May be asked to code day surgery, emergency and outpatient records. Meets departmental accuracy and production standards.

Pay Range: $22.22 to $39.12 Based On Experience
