Job summary

Heritage Grove Estates is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records/Health Information Coordinator to oversee resident records and health information systems. You will ensure accuracy, security, and HIPAA compliance across documentation and systems in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and healthcare documentation practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
• Healthcare, medical records, or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and audit resident medical records for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage electronic health record (EHR) documentation and resident demographic information.
• Process authorized requests and releases of medical records in compliance with HIPAA requirements.
• Ensure proper chart setup, filing, coding, indexing, and record retention practices.
• Track physician certifications and required documentation for skilled nursing services.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, consultants, and admissions staff to support regulatory and reimbursement requirements.
