Job summary

Highland Springs is seeking a Health Information Management Clerk in Highland Hills, OH. You will assist with access to protected health information, respond to requests, and ensure compliance with hospital and federal policies.

Responsibilities include chart preparation for scanning, recording requests, and maintaining HIPAA standards while providing courteous customer service at the window and within the records department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience handling patient records preferred.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ER charts have EMS reports attached timely.
• Assist customers at the window in a timely, courteous manner.
• Prep charts for scanning according to productivity standards.
• Scan medical records per daily productivity standards.
• Perform quality control on scanned reports.
• Maintain HIPAA standards at all times.
• Receive calls and route them appropriately.
• Analyze assigned records when time permits.
• Log shredded records in the designated log book.
• Review patient portal access requests.
