Job summary

RI Council 94 is seeking an eligibility analyst to determine initial and continuing eligibility for health and human service programs, assist applicants with applications, collect supporting documents, and communicate program requirements and status. You will process applications from receipt to final decision in a machine-assisted workflow, perform interviews, enter data, and prepare reports.

Two years of college in social services and experience reviewing information are preferred; strong

Qualifications

• Two years of college with a concentration in social services.
• Experience in a social services role requiring decision-making.
• Ability to conduct interviews and gather information accurately.
• Ability to process applications from receipt to issuance or denial.
• Proficiency with standard desktop office tools and databases.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and continuing eligibility determinations for health and human service programs.
• Assist applicants in completing applications and gathering supporting documents.
• Communicate program requirements and status to applicants and advocates.
• Process applications from receipt to benefit issuance or denial in at least one program.
• Prepare reports and maintain records using an automated case-processing system.
