Job summary

The Richmond and Henrico Public Health Foundation is seeking a Grants Coordinator/Manager in Richmond, VA to help run the Health Equity Fund. You will work closely with the Interim Managing Director, the Board, and community partners to support HEF applications and funding cycles.

Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, providing technical assistance, developing resources, and coordinating capacity-building for grantees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, nonprofit management, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 3-5 years experience in grantmaking, program management, or nonprofit capacity building.
• Demonstrated experience working with community-based organizations, particularly grassroots and emerging organizations.
• Strong understanding of health equity and social determinants of health.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in grants management systems and databases.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-centered approaches.

Responsibilities

• Grantmaking Administration: Facilitate application and funding cycles with Managing Director and Board.
• Coordinate regular CAC meetings, prepare agendas with health district staff, and cultivate CAC relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by the RHPHF Board and Managing Director.
• Technical Assistance and Capacity Building: Provide direct TA to applicants, conduct workshops, office hours, and consultations.
• Develop TA resources including guides, templates, and training materials; assess grantee capacity-building needs.
• Support grantees in data collection, evaluation, and reporting; connect to capacity-building resources.
