Job summary

Glacier Support Services (GSS) seeks a Health Educator to support the Armed Forces Wellness Center at Fort Carson, CO. You will deliver six core programs, conduct fitness testing, and provide individual and group coaching to improve health behaviors and readiness.

You will work with a team to ensure data integrity, apply health science knowledge, and develop education plans in line with AFWC directives. A 4-year Allied Health degree and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Allied Health field (exercise science/exercise physiology preferred).
• Maintains one or more nationally recognized credentials (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, CHES/MCHES, etc.).
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers evidence-based health promotion programs based on behavioral change theories.
• Performs health and wellness assessments and fitness testing using advanced methods.
• Conducts individual and group coaching to apply behavior change strategies.
• Ensures complete and timely data collection and entry in approved systems.
• Applies knowledge of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise programming to education programs.
• Develops health education programs aligned with AFWC directives.
• Collaborates with community agencies and works independently or as part of a team.
