Job summary

Glacier Support Services (GSS) is seeking a Health Educator to support the Armed Forces Wellness Center program at Fort Carson, CO. The role focuses on health promotion, fitness assessment, and health coaching to improve readiness and prevent chronic disease.

You will deliver six core AFWC programs, conduct assessments with advanced tech, and work in a collaborative team to support military health goals. Equal opportunity employer; benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Allied Health or related field required.
• Nationally recognized NCCA credentials (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, CHES/MCHES, etc.) preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based health promotion programs based on behavior theories.
• Conduct physical fitness testing and health assessments.
• Provide individual and group health coaching.
• Ensure accurate data collection and documentation.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, nutrition and exercise science.
• Develop and improve AFWC health education programs.
• Collaborate with community agencies and work independently when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
