The Nutrition Educator II provides nutrition education in clinical, community, and educational settings. This role serves individuals of all ages, ensuring that the educational content is appropriate for their functional and developmental needs.

Health Educator II

Essential Functions

• Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in accordance with Jefferson's values.
• Collaborate with administrators, community organizations, and educators to support nutrition-related programs.
• Develop and implement educational materials, lessons, presentations, and workshops based on evidence-based interventions.
• Document and report interventions in electronic systems.
• Monitor participation and assess program effectiveness.
• Participate in outreach events to promote healthy habits.
• Work in various settings including faith-based organizations, pantries, libraries, schools, and neighborhoods.
• Maintain detailed records for reporting and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Lift at least 25 pounds.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience working with children and community members of all ages.
• Experience with lesson plans or curriculums preferred.
• 5 years of experience in nutrition education preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required for travel within the Greater Philadelphia area.
• Flexibility to work after hours preferred.
