Job summary

The Charter County of Wayne seeks a Department Manager 3 to design and deliver health education initiatives promoting community well‑being. You will run sessions, develop materials, and collaborate with healthcare partners to address public health issues effectively.

Required: a bachelor’s degree in health education or public health, 3+ years in health education with data collection and evaluation, and CHES preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health education, public health, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in health education with data collection and program evaluation.
• CHES certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate health education programs and materials.
• Conduct educational sessions and workshops for diverse audiences.
• Create and update educational resources (brochures, videos, online content).
• Assess health education needs through surveys and data analysis.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and schools.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and adjust as needed.
• Promote healthy behaviors and healthcare utilization through outreach.
• Tailor materials to meet cultural needs of diverse populations.
• Advocate for public health policies supporting health education.
