The Charter County of Wayne is seeking an Environmental Health Unit Department Manager 6 to lead and oversee environmental health programs ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role includes supervision of staff, policy implementation, and program accreditation maintenance.

Reporting to the Environmental Health Administrator, you will coordinate multiple programs, manage enforcement duties, and provide technical guidance while preparing monthly and annual reports

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Engineering, Biological Science, or closely related field.
• Registered Sanitarian or Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Registered Sanitarian.
• A valid Michigan driver’s license and acceptable driving record; automobile available for daily use.
• At least six years of environmental health experience, with at least four in general EH program areas; two years supervisory experience.

• Collaborate on investigations requiring environmental health expertise.
• Set goals for the Environmental Management Unit and ensure attainment.
• Develop policies for Unit programs per grant guidelines.
• Oversee onsite well and wastewater programs including related services.
