UMC Health System is seeking a Health Data Analyst to support the Managed Care Director in developing strategies to improve net revenue, payer relations, and cash collections for the health system and affiliates. The analyst will extract, analyze and report data to optimize contracts, reimbursement trends, and overall financial performance across inpatient and outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree preferred; two years data analytics/healthcare experience recommended.
• Proficient in data extraction, analysis, and reporting for managed care.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new and current contracts to increase inpatient and outpatient net revenue.
• Assist in negotiating and renegotiating managed care agreements and payment issues.
• Create standard and ad-hoc data extracts/reports from multiple data sources.
• Assist with Provider credentialing and enrollment.
• Analyze contract performance, reimbursement trends, and payment variances.
• Maintain data and generate insights to inform business decisions.
