Job summary

The Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee is seeking a Government Analyst II to join the Systems Information Management Unit. The role focuses on data quality, statistical analyses for program evaluation, and presenting quantitative findings clearly.

You will collaborate with CMS staff, contractors, and partners to collect, store, report, and use data according to best practices. A strong skill set in SAS or R, SQL, and data visualization will be essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with multivariate and inferential statistical analyses using SAS or R.
• Experience querying data using SQL and depicting trends in data visualization tools.
• Ability to organize complex information into user-friendly formats for presentations and written materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for programs or contracts that require data collection, validation, analysis or are essential for program performance monitoring.
• Perform process reviews and program evaluations, analyze performance data to measure program impact, and provide recommendations to achieve goals.
• Collaborate with technical staff, contractors, and partners to ensure CMS program data is collected, stored, reported, and used per best practices and agency requirements.
• Serve as a technical consultant to support data requirements and performance measurement for program goals.
• Conduct research and statistical analysis with various data types to support health program goals and services.
