Job summary

Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance, is seeking a Government Analyst II to review background screening reports for healthcare practitioners, licensees, and facility owners in accordance with Florida statutes.

The role focuses on data entry into LEIDS, coordinating requests with the FBI/FDLE, ensuring timely fingerprint processing, and preparing documentation for the Bureau of Health Care Practitioner Regulation, with strict adherence to regulations and quality

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing background screening reports for healthcare practitioners and licensees.
• Knowledge of Florida Statutes and related licensing regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Reviews background screening reports for health care practitioner applicants, licensees, and facility owners as authorized in Florida Statutes.
• Record data about screening results in LEIDS and coordinate electronic requests with FBI/FDLE.
• Ensure fingerprints are processed timely according to Clearinghouse procedures.
• Research LEIDS to determine if a complaint to the Bureau is needed.
• Prepare documentation for submission to the Bureau of Health Care Practitioner Regulation.
• Apply analytical reasoning to improve background screening processes and produce operational reports.
• Consult with relevant organizations to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform other related work as required.
