What you'll do

We are seeking an experienced Health Coach/Medical Assistant to support patients at our DC and Vienna locations. You will serve as the face of Ryse Health, building professional and trusted relationships with patients, their families, and our team. Your responsibilities include:

1. Empowering patients to reach their goals using motivational interviewing techniques.
2. Training patients on continuous glucose monitor (CGM) setup and initiation.
3. Using CGM data to motivate, educate, and support patient success.
4. Collaborating with the team on care planning and supporting the implementation of care plans.
5. Communicating with patients via video calls, in-person meetings, telephone, and messaging.
6. Conducting initial patient intake, including overview of Ryse model, vital signs, and medical history.
7. Performing retinal scans with patients.
8. Submitting records requests for new and existing patients.
9. Reviewing records and updating charts as needed.
10. Handling prior authorization submissions.
11. Assisting with medication filing and coverage.
12. Supporting patient assistance application submissions.
13. Performing other duties as assigned.

About You

• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Motivational interviewing training is a plus.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification and experience are a plus.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to changing processes.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and attention to detail.
• Passionate about making an impact and eager to help reduce the burden of chronic disease.
