The Opportunity:

The Patient Account Liaison (PAL) reviews and processes new referrals, from patient intake to shipping and insurance approval. The PAL is the main contact for patients, clinics, and Clinical Area Managers within their territory, handling patient intake, documentation, insurance authorizations, and patient payment programs. This is a full-time remote position.

Job Outcomes You Must Achieve:

  • Adhere to healthcare regulatory and compliance standards
  • Maintain patient flow and relationships with physicians and staff, providing education and acting as the primary contact
  • Review referrals for documentation and medical necessity
  • Organize medical records and maintain electronic charts
  • Ensure proper authorizations and benefit verifications
  • Develop payer knowledge base
  • Communicate professionally, with attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA laws
  • Build relationships with patients and providers, ensuring exceptional service
  • Educate patients on therapy benefits and costs
  • Assist teams and payers in understanding procedures and resolving issues
  • Submit insurance requests efficiently
  • Serve as the primary contact before device shipment
  • Provide order updates and coordinate shipments
  • Identify customer needs and ensure positive resolutions
  • Collaborate with MD offices and internal teams
  • Verify data accuracy and ensure proper documentation
Requirements for Success:
  • High School diploma or GED required; degree preferred
  • Extensive customer service experience, preferably in a call center
  • Experience working directly with healthcare providers and insurance companies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of HIPAA laws and medical documentation
  • Experience with DME billing, Medicare Part B, and national payers is preferred
  • Ability to determine medical justification for reimbursement

Pay range: $21.63-$27.88/hr plus incentive bonus, final compensation based on qualifications and experience.
