MSU Health Care in East Lansing, MI is seeking a Health Care Representative to support medical office operations, greet patients warmly, and perform administrative tasks using medical terminology.
The role requires entry-level experience in a medical setting, scheduling and screening appointments via a computerized information system, handling phone lines, scanning documents, and working both independently and with a team.
The Health Care Representative will support medical office operations by actively performing in a variety of roles that combine both direct and indirect patient care. In this important front-line role, the selected candidate will proudly provide service to our patients with a warm greeting and perform administrative functions for the clinic or medical office through knowledge of medical terminology and applications. The job requires significant physical effort and involves carrying charts and medical equipment, assisting in ambulating and lifting patients.
Exposure to human blood, serum, and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions; TB risk or work within three (3) feet of patients in a health care setting; wear a respirator.
