Position Overview

The Policy Analyst conducts research, analysis, and writes comments on regulatory and legislative actions affecting our customers. This role involves working independently and with teams on various projects, supporting strategic efforts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and recommend public policy positions aligned with OCHIN's mission.
• Prepare correspondence, testimony, white papers, reports, and official communications.
• Identify opportunities to raise awareness of OCHIN in legislative and regulatory bodies.
• Establish data collection and analysis processes to support strategic priorities.
• Track legislative databases and coordinate review processes.
• Monitor legislative activities at state and federal levels for proactive responses.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify priorities and opportunities.
• Write and edit content for diverse audiences, maintaining OCHIN’s voice and style.
• Create and maintain content related to strategic priorities for policymakers.

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in policy, legal, legislative, or public affairs.
• Bachelor’s degree in politics, health, communications, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and project management experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accountability.

Additional Information

OCHIN is a remote organization with nationwide travel as needed. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and are committed to diversity and inclusion. The salary range is approximately $70,214 to $105,320, depending on experience and qualifications.
