Qualifications

• Ability to follow written health care plans and safety protocols.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening as required by WV Code.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and assistance to a student with documented health care needs during transportation.
• Implement health care procedures as outlined in the student's care plan (training provided as required).
• Assist the student with safe boarding and exiting of the bus.
• Monitor and respond appropriately to medical or behavioral concerns while in transit.
• Maintain effective communication with the bus driver, school nurse, and administration.
• Ensure confidentiality and uphold student dignity at all times.
