Job summary

WTW is seeking a Health and Benefits Associate Manager in Houston to contribute to design, financing, and ongoing management of health and benefit programs. You will support project managers, interface with vendors and clients, create client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met.

You will grow your health and benefits acumen, finance and project management skills by working on cutting-edge projects with industry leaders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in professional services, ideally gained in a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or health underwriting/actuarial function of an insurance company.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality deliverables on time and within budget.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
• State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.

Responsibilities

• Materially contribute to core health and benefits projects involving design and management of group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability and absence management benefits.
• Partner with client service team leader to deliver superior project management.
• Provide superior client service in response to day-to-day service issues and questions.
• Prepare for client meetings (agendas, materials, coordinate resources).
• Support vendor procurement, implementation, and optimization activities.
• Provide benefit enrolment support, including preparing materials and presentations and updating internal systems.
• Contribute to completion of reports and administrative actions for clients (Form 5500 filings, policy checking, monthly reporting).
• Support benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies.
• Conduct review of client deliverables for alignment with objectives and best practices.
• Facilitate benchmarking studies and provide value-added analyses and summaries.
• Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts.
• Build relationships internally and collaborate on cross-functional teams.
