Job summary

Oliver Wyman’s Health Practice seeks a Manager/Senior Manager, Business Analyst to lead complex technology, data, and business initiatives across health insurance and healthcare sectors.

The role partners with Product Owners, actuaries, consultants, and technology teams to translate business needs into practical solutions and deliver measurable value through discovery to implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, product delivery, consulting, healthcare, or related field.
• Experience leading business analysis from discovery to implementation.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
• Knowledge of requirements gathering, process modeling, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, and UAT.

Responsibilities

• Define objectives, roadmaps, and delivery priorities with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
• Develop business requirements, process flows, user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate complex needs into clear direction for delivery teams.
• Manage and refine product backlogs aligning with business priorities.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: planning, backlog refinement, showcases, retrospectives.
• Support health insurance, analytics, pricing, product development, and regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with System Analysts, developers, actuaries, data scientists, and QA teams.
• Support UAT, business validation, and stakeholder sign-off.
• Track scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions across workstreams.
• Present recommendations and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and contribute to delivery practices improvement.
