Job summary

Oliver Wyman’s Health Practice seeks a Health Manager or Senior Manager with Medicare Advantage experience to lead and certify bid development (Part C and D), perform product development, and guide pricing and claims analyses.

The role emphasizes team leadership, client interaction, and adherence to high professional standards in a dynamic environment; hybrid work is available across major US offices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years actuarial experience in the Medicare Advantage industry, with a preference for actuarial consulting.
• ASA or FSA credentials required.
• Autonomy with minimal Principal involvement on medium-to-large projects.
• Strong written and oral communication; time management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, VBA or other programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and certify Medicare Advantage bid development, both Part C and D.
• Health insurance product development, modeling, and analysis for Medicare Advantage markets.
• Set pricing assumptions, trends, and pricing methodologies.
• Medical and pharmacy claims analysis, including benchmarking to industry experience.
• Feasibility studies for startup operations or expansions for payers or payer-provider partnerships.
• Support of regulatory changes and implementation.
• Evaluation of provider contracts and impact on rates.
• Analysis of value-based care and risk-sharing arrangements.
• Opportunity analyses for improved total-cost-of-care management and population health.
• Evaluation of risk scores and improvement of risk score coding/capture.
