American Leadership Academy is currently accepting applications for a Health Aide for the 2026-2027 academic year at the Ironwood Elementary campus in the East Valley. The role supports the school nurse by delivering basic health services to students and staff under district policy.

Candidates must have a High school diploma or equivalent and a valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card; preferred CMA/EMT/CNA/LPN/RN certifications.

American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a Health Aide for the 2026-2027 academic year for our Ironwood Elementary campus located in the East Valley. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.

A school health aide assists the school nurse by providing care to students for general health, injury, or illness. This includes but is not limited to, to administer health services to students and staff according to District policies; to provide first aid, medication administration, and emergency care as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides basic first aid and general care to students.
• Administers daily prescription and over the counter medications to students and maintains accurate records of medication given.
• Reviews student immunization records to ensure state compliance.
• Assists with hearing and vision screening.
• Organizes health office by setting up student health files, emergency cards, medication logs, and substitute file.
• Compiles periodic and year end reports for state and district.
• Provides health education to teachers, parents and students as needed.
• Acts as liaison between teachers, parents, students and administrators.
• Working with students with special needs.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN)
