Job summary

American Leadership Academy is seeking a Health Aide for the 2026-2027 school year at the Ironwood Elementary campus in East Valley. The role supports the school nurse by providing care, administering medications, and maintaining health records in compliance with district policies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and a valid AZ IVP fingerprint card; CMA/EMT/CNA/LPN/RN are preferred. The position offers health benefits, PTO, and a 401(k) with employer contributions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card is required.
• Preferred CMA/EMT/CNA/LPN/RN certification or license is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic first aid and general care to students.
• Administers daily prescribed and over the counter medications to students and maintains records.
• Reviews immunization records for state compliance.
• Helps with hearing and vision screening.
• Organizes health office files, emergency cards, medication logs, and substitute file.
• Compiles periodic and year-end state and district reports.
• Provides health education to teachers, parents and students.
• Acts as liaison between teachers, parents, students and administrators.
• Works with students with special needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.

American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a Health Aide for the 2026-2027 academic year for our Ironwood Elementary campus located in the East Valley. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.

A school health aide assists the school nurse by providing care to students for general health, injury, or illness. This includes but is not limited to, to administer health services to students and staff according to District policies; to provide first aid, medication administration, and emergency care as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides basic first aid and general care to students.
• Administers daily prescription and over the counter medications to students and maintains accurate records of medication given.
• Reviews student immunization records to ensure state compliance.
• Assists with hearing and vision screening.
• Organizes health office by setting up student health files, emergency cards, medication logs, and substitute file.
• Compiles periodic and year end reports for state and district.
• Provides health education to teachers, parents and students as needed.
• Acts as liaison between teachers, parents, students and administrators.
• Working with students with special needs.
• Other related duties as assigned.
