Job summary

Classical Academy Charter School in Columbus, OH seeks a Principal (Headmaster) to lead instructional excellence, uphold classical education values, and advance student character and civic virtue.

The Principal will oversee curriculum, assessments, staff development, compliance, enrollment, safety, and community engagement while reporting to the Superintendent under a 260-day contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree required.
• History of successful teaching experience and leadership/management.
• Knowledgeable in classical education and state standards/testing.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication; active listening and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Be Steward of the Mission: promote and drive the school's mission and philosophy.
• Provide farsighted strategic direction with the Superintendent.
• Ensure enrollment growth and high student achievement with feedback and mentorship.
• Oversee academic operations, curriculum fidelity, assessments, and compliance.
• Lead staff development and performance evaluations; ensure licensure and background checks.
