Job summary

nTop is hiring an Engineering Manager for distributed computing workloads. You will lead a small, senior team responsible for headless execution, job scheduling, and cloud-scale deployment.

You’ll own architectural decisions, drive integrations, and work with product to align on strategy. In this role, you’ll write production code in year one, partner with customers, and shape engineering practices across CI/CD, testing, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience shipping into customer-managed environments (on-prem, hybrid, air-gapped).
• Track record of building and growing engineering teams.
• Strong collaboration with PMs, designers, and field engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a small, senior engineering team focused on workload orchestration.
• Define architecture for headless execution and scale across environments.
• Write production code in early years and oversee CI/CD practices.
• Deliver integrations with HEEDS, ModelCenter, and cloud-native job services.
• Partner with Product Manager to translate strategy into engineering plans.
