Job summary

nTop seeks an Engineering Manager to build and lead the workload orchestration team, the infrastructure enabling large-scale distributed computation. You will hire senior engineers, own system design, and drive execution across on-prem HPC and cloud environments.

In partnership with the PM, you will translate strategy into engineering plans and deliver reliable headless execution for customers in aerospace and industry.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience building and shipping distributed systems or infrastructure software.
• Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience shipping into customer-managed environments - on-prem, hybrid, or air-gapped.

Responsibilities

• Build, hire, and lead a small, senior engineering team.
• Own architecture for headless execution and workload orchestration within product direction.
• Write code in year one and review PRs while guiding architecture.
• Lead integrations with HEEDS, ModelCenter, PhysicsX Flux, and cloud-native job services.
