Job summary

Hotwire Communications, LTD is seeking a Headend Engineer to lead headend construction, operation, maintenance and support. The role focuses on installation, power systems, structured wiring, cooling and related physical infrastructure.

You will design and maintain wiring and equipment, implement preventive maintenance for UPS, HVAC and power systems, and monitor IPTV quality. Collaboration with NOC and engineering teams is essential to ensure reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Telecommunication, RF or related field.
Minimum 3 years telecommunication/RF or satellite experience.
Strong Head-End knowledge and computer skills.
Understanding of IPTV, IP multicast, video codecs and standards.

Responsibilities

Lead headend construction, operation, maintenance and support.
Design, build and maintain structured wiring for efficient data flow in facilities.
Create preventive maintenance schedules for UPS, batteries, generators, HVAC and sensors.
Monitor IPTV services and channel quality; address issues via monitoring data.
Coordinate with NOC and engineering teams for maintenance and problem resolution.
Perform installation, wiring, labeling and configuration of equipment.
