Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Headend Engineer to oversee planning, installation, and maintenance of television and broadband headend systems. You will work with Cisco DNCS, Motorola DAC, DOCSIS, and CATV RF distribution to ensure reliable service and network performance.

The role requires 5+ years in Electrical Engineering, strong communication skills, and the ability to interface with customers. Travel up to 25% and a warehouse environment are part of the duties, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Electrical Engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Electronics Theory and Telecommunications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with customers.
• Experience with Cisco DNCS and Motorola DAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement cable television headend systems for service center operations.
• Install, configure, and integrate Cisco DNCS, Motorola DAC, and related headend equipment (QAM/QPSK modulators, servers, RADD, SEM, OM1000/2000).
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Support DOCSIS implementation and configuration (CMTS, DSG RADD, TSBroadcaster).
• Oversee CATV RF coax distribution systems (amplifiers, splitters, RF switches, combiners, meters).
• Configure and maintain IP network elements associated with headend systems.
